Betsy McDaniel

Betsy founded PAACT and leads the coalition's work across Birmingham Public Schools. She focuses on building relationships with district leadership and making sure PAACT shows up as a credible, solutions-oriented partner in every conversation.

Anne Cron

Anne brings firsthand knowledge of how Birmingham Public Schools operates from the inside. She ensures PAACT has the documentation and institutional understanding it needs to ask the right questions and hold the district accountable to its own records.

This role connects student behavior and school safety to their effect on learning. The curriculum lead tracks academic performance data and helps PAACT link disciplinary concerns to the outcomes that matter most for families.

Technology, Bullying, Code of Conduct, and Consequences

Katherine is PAACT's point person on student safety and disciplinary policy. She brings direct experience navigating the district's conduct processes and speaks to these issues with both personal knowledge and careful research.

Teacher Relationships

This role bridges PAACT's work with the educator community. The teacher relationships lead ensures that the coalition's proposals are grounded in what teachers actually need and reflects their perspective in every conversation with the district.

District Transparency and Family Communication Rights

OPEN

This role focuses on what families have a right to know. The transparency lead understands Michigan school law and can identify, specifically and credibly, when the district falls short of its legal and ethical obligations to communicate with families.
