i-Ready is a diagnostic assessment used district-wide in Birmingham Public Schools to measure where students are reading and doing math relative to grade-level expectations. Unlike M-STEP (which tests once per year), i-Ready is given multiple times annually.
Results below show Final Diagnostic outcomes for three academic years: 2022–23, 2023–24, and 2024–25. Data is drawn directly from official BPS i-Ready reports.
Students are placed into five categories — from Mid or Above Grade Level down to Three or More Grade Levels Below. The goal is for every student to reach "Mid or Above Grade Level."
